Practical Classics Restoration & Classic Car Show

Officially the UK’s fastest growing classic car event, over 19,000 enthusiasts joined us for the Practical Classics Restoration & Classic Car Show, bringing together all aspects of classic motoring. From barn finds discovered after many years of storage and those project cars that have stalled in an owner’s garage, to restorations just getting back on the road and those pristine marques with gleaming brightwork and proud as punch owners.
If you need help and advice from our motoring experts and celebrities, want to buy the tools to do the job yourself or find a specialist restorer who can tackle the work on your behalf, this is the show for you.  With cars for sale from both dealers and Silverstone Auctions, live demonstrations, and over 650 cars on display, don’t miss the classic motoring scene’s season opener on 5th and 6th March 2016.

London to Brighton Veteran Car Run

In 2016 we are celebrating the 120th anniversary of the very first Run. Today, it represents a rare opportunity for participants to take their extraordinary automobiles on this historic 60-mile journey from Hyde Park in central London to the seafront in the Sussex resort of Brighton.

Few events in today's international calendar such as the Bonhams Veteran Car Run can claim such individuality, personality and character. The 400 fine examples of pre-1905 manufactured vehicles that take part in the 60-mile demonstration showcase the pioneering spirit and engineering ability of the early motorist.

Le Jog

HERO's Land’s End to John O’Groats Reliability Trial and Classic Car Tour is open to cars built before 1986. Running in December, tough conditions are to be expected, but no-one crosses the finish line without a smile on their face. Starting from Land's End on Saturday morning, competitors take part on a number of regularity sections and driving tests before arriving at the evening rest halt. From here, it is into the maze of lanes that criss-cross Wales, your endurance and skill tested as you battle through the night against the elements and the route set out by the Clerk of the Course. Sunday brings you a little more of a relaxed day, the route and scenery as stunning as the first, your overnight halt will be welcoming and give you chance to rest before the final push to John O' Groats. As you leave on Monday, it is hard to believe you are only half way along the route, the night section is daunting and the evening meal is most welcome. As you arrive in John O'Groats, it is not unusual to see crews so elated that a tear is shed, after all, they have completed what is regarded as the toughest historic rally in Europe, and quite possibly the world. Welcome to Le Jog. Le Jog is graded as 'Expert' It features mixed navigation, night time driving, driving in adverse conditions. Some competitors have attempted Le Jog as their very first event, we would advise you to take part in the HERO Training and Briefing Day that takes part in October if you wish to attempt Le Jog as a novice.
