Frame Number: T29830G Engine Number: T29830G One of the oldest motorcycle manufacturers of all, Ariel was known for it's bicycles before producing motorcycles at around the turn of the century at the Selly Oak factory in the Midlands. In 1958, the new Leader twin-cylinder two stroke was introduced, followed by the Arrow in 1960. The Super Sports, later known as the Golden Arrow due to the distinctive colour scheme, was introduced in 1961. This model was equipped with dropped handlebars, a flyscreen, a larger carburettor and a higher compression ratio. This very smart, restored example has been in the current ownership since 1994 and has had few owners. Although restored, the motorcycle will now require recommissioning.
