Brian R Chant M.I.M.I. Started in business at these same Stalbridge premises in 1969 after having successfully completed an apprenticeship as a panel beater with S.E.Hamblin Limited of Sherborne, Dorset, who were traditional coachbuilders and sheet metal fabricators.
Brian Chant's company, Unicorn Motor Company, has always featured high quality body repairs to all types of vehicles, the speciality being Vintage and Classic cars, gradually expanding into Vintage and Classic Car sales. It is with the respect achieved that Brian became Chairman of the Vehicle Builders and Repairers Association (VBRA) Wessex branch, A position held for three years.

Alvis cars have always featured high in Brian's interest, for seven years he was competition secretary for the Alvis Owner Club, with his experience, he is often required to be a Concours judge.

Brian started racing vintage and classic cars in 1971, achieving most success with the 4.3 litre Alvis ''Brutus''. His pride and joy was an Aston Martin DB6 Mark1 Vantage.
Brian is an enthusiastic member of the Aston Martin Owners Club, Austin-Healey Club, Vintage Sports Car Club, Morris Minor Owners Club, Yeovil Car Club and Commercial Transport In Preservation.
