Classic Triumph Herald Vitesse Car Review

Triumph addressed the much criticized rear swing-axle set-up in 1968 with the new MkII Vitesse which featured a much improved and superior lower wishbone-type independent rear suspension. The GT6 2-litre engine was also given the TR5's improved cylinder head, the engine now producing 104bhp, unladen weight still under a ton, 60mph in just 11.3 seconds, a standing quarter mile in only 18.1 seconds and top speed of 101 mph, all for £951.
