1971 Aston Martin DBS V8 Manual Convertible

Chassis No. DBSV8/10092/R. Finished in old english pewter with blue leather interior and dark blue hood. This rare and stylish motor car has undergone £23,000 of mechanical upgrades that include removal of the fuel injection system and replaced with a Weber down draught system that has been hand made to fit under the original bonnet without changing the external appearance of the car. The original alloy wheels have been replaced with new wire wheels supplied by M.W.S as fitted to the new Beacham XK8 powered E-Type. 500 miles ago the engine was completely stripped to bare block for a total re-build incorporating 1989 specification Cosworth light weight conrods and domed pistons plus new clutch. The indestructible 5 speed manual gear box is as smooth a silk. The exhaust system is stainless steel from manifold to tail pipe using 4 inch bore piping and does sound rather nice !!! Total cost of engine re-build in excess of £18,000 and carried out by a 1st class race preparation engineer. A classic Aston Martin that offers 1960's style with 1980's performance. Offers Invited.
