A preserved one owner, Limited Edition Ford Puma Millennium with just 54,794 miles and full Ford History.
MODEL HISTORY
Towards the end of 1993 a group of designers from Fords Small and Medium Vehicle Centre were invited to present ideas for an exciting new coupe based on the Fiesta supermini. The Puma was the first small coupe Ford had ever made. By adding stiffer suspension, wider front and rear tracks, a close ratio gearbox and a brand new Yamaha-derived 1.7 litre engine the team produced a car for the enthusiastic driver. The Puma Millennium was launched in 1999 and achieved immediate notoriety after gaining Millennium Product status from the Design Council. Only 1000 made, all in Zinc Yellow, with this example being number 662. Currently 754 survive. (Source: Department of Transport)

Millennium high gloss black door mirrors, headlamp system with three projector lamps, tinted glass, remote tailgate release, Variable ratio power assisted steering, anti-lock brakes, traction control, driver and passenger airbag, pyrotechnic front seat belt tensioners, height adjustable drivers seat, immobiliser, alarm, remote central locking, aluminium finish interior, leather sports steering wheel, quick clear heated windscreen, heated electric door mirrors, air conditioning, digital clock, power windows.
EXTERIOR
Finished in the Millennium only Zinc Yellow, this bright car looks radioactive! Remarkably preserved having been garaged by its one owner from new this example is wonderful. The body colour bumpers are unmarked, all trim perfect and only one tiny undulation from an older wheel arch repair. Correct factory stickers remain on the tinted glass and the oval stainless steel exhaust pipe is bright. Difficult to find in this condition.
INTERIOR
The Puma Millennium came with exclusive Recaro seats wrapped in Alchemy Leather and offer amazing support. The cautious owner put Puma carpet mats on top of the unique Millennium carpet mats to preserve the appearance and other than a small nick on the drivers bolster the interior is beautiful. Every Puma option is standard on the Millennium Edition and all electric devices function correctly. Lifting the boot mat even revealed the factory specification sheet listing the car as build number 662 that rolled off the production line on the 13th January 2000 at 17.38. Impeccable.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The Pumas 1.7-litre Yamaha-derived unit was the first Ford to use variable camshaft timing, (VCT). The power delivery is incredibly flexible and energetic with 85 per cent of peak torque being available at just 1500rpm. The air induction system is tuned for a raspier sound and combined with a free revving engine this power plant is immensely rewarding. Ford maintained from new this engine is eager to please. The close-ratio sports gearbox is precise and perfectly weighted providing an intimate link with the driver.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Unique Millennium light alloy 15” nine-spoke chrome wheels are unmarked. The Millennium Products Logo on all four centre caps are pristine. 195/50 R15 Uniroyal Rain Sport 2 front and Pirelli P6000 rear tyres with excellent tread. Servo assisted with vented front discs, anti-locking and Electronic Brake Force Distribution provide safe stopping power.
