Here we have a very rare Rolls Royce Silver Shadow One Long Wheel Base. Rolls Royce only ever made 2700 and only around 800 left in the world. A long-wheelbase variant, some 4 inches longer to provide additional rear seat legroom, was offered from May 1969, and available to domestic customers from early 1970. The Long wheel base are now highly sought-after by collectors. So if you want a great investment then read on as it only gets better. This car has been lovingly look after over its life. The 1st Owner was Rolls Royce HR Owen of Mayfair we have been told that this car was used by HR Owen of Mayfair as there Flagship car in the motor show before it was sold to its new owners. The 2rd owners had this car in there Family for many years The family picket up the car from one month old up until 2001. It stayed in the next owners hands from 2001 till 2007. This Lovely Long wheel base was then picket up by the last owner up till now. The Long Wheel Base is the only Silver Shadow which came with both the factory fitted vinyl roof and the smaller rear windscreen. This Rolls Royce comes with Stamped service Books, Invoices, Letters from the Family that look after this car for many years all the old M.O.T and some old tax disks. Owners Manuel priced at £2.10s 0d Supplement to handbook for interior Fittings. The Handbook that came with the car in 1971. MOT's invoices and considerable service history all of which supports the current mileage of 66857. We have also run a H.P.I Check and this confirms the mileage. The Brakes have been serviced at 66001 miles at a cost of just under £1000, Service history by James Young Ltd up to 47144 miles then Goudhurst Service Station up to 57848 miles. The body work is in very good condition no rust on the wheel archers, bottom of the wings or the seals. No rust on the doors or where the chrome is fitted to the bodywork. As far as I am aware this car is still in its coat of pain it left Rolls Royce in 1971 so its 100 % original. There is marks on the paint work and in two places someone over time have polished this lovely car a bit to much and has polished a bit of the pain away. The underside is in absolutely amazing condition and obviously received an expensive rust proofing treatment from new or certainly early on in its life. I told you this is a great car and it gets even better. You have to drive the car to appreciate how well it runs. We have been told by the last owner that there are different manifold and fuel systems on this Rare model and this is a high performance version. This very special Silver Shadows 1 have great power and performance. Very smooth and strong with an undetectable gear change. No oil leaks or bad sounds from the engine. I took this car for a drive two days ago and I covered 160 miles without a problem. It felt like I just went up the road. Did I say that all the tyres are in very in great condition including the spare. Let's talk about the cars interior All electrics seats, A/C etc are good. Has original AM radio which works fine, everything works. There is a small defects on the wood on the doors not much and can be repaired at a cost of £25.00 per capping only needs two. The wood on the dash is amazing and so is the rest of the interior, Two foot stools.It is in excellent condition. Lovely deep Red leather. The carpets and footrests are particularly good almost like new and the seats are excellent. No cracking and certainly no rips or damage. The all leather roof lining is unbelievable 100% perfect. I will let the photos do the rest of the talking and there is a Long Wheel base for sale on Piston Heard for £21,000 with more miles on the clock !!!! I worked for Rolls Royce as an engineer for many years so I know a good car when I see one and this is one of them. This car can be made in show room example of the model with a little bit of time and effort there is little bits like stone chips and small marks around the paint work (No Rust) but the car is 43 years old so not bad at all. I am more then happy to take on the work but this price is for the car as is today. This car is priced at a bargain price just look at our feed back and you will see we give away bargains all the time so be quick as this is a very rare car and I am not sure if we will find another one. If your thinking (should I go for it) then my advice is go for it as you will always be kicking yourself that you let this lovely car get away. At this price we are giving this car away to one lucky person. We require £500 deposit to hold by Paypal her or full payment and we welcome anyone who is serious in buying this car to come along and have a look. This car is a better investment then keeping your money in the bank. The car is in Essex.
