This may well be the 1964 Corvette Sting Ray Coupe youve been waiting for. If you want that very special car, one which stands out from the crowd in the right way, then this is the one. Born in 1964, this small block (4.7L) Corvette is just waiting for that rain to stop. It sounds absolutely fantastic and no expense has been spared looking after this car. It gets lots of admiring looks (and quite often shouts of “great car”) wherever you drive it.

As the pictures show – its got a lot of chromed parts and really looks special. The car was fully restored in Texas around 10 years ago. It was imported by an American chap stationed at Mildenhall in the US Air Force. It took him ages to get the car here as he had to pay off outstanding finance first and when the car eventually arrived, he got posted back to the US and had to sell it. He cried when I drove off with the car and I hope I dont do the same as I really dont want it to go but am in the middle of converting my garage into an office and sadly, this is not a car to keep outside.

Ive owned it for the last 8 years and Ive only done a few hundred miles each year and only on sunny days. Ive also taken it to some of the American shows each summer (so you may have seen it before) but I have never entered it. In immaculate condition, it has a few minor blemishes on the paintwork (not very noticeable) and has a newish MOT and obviously, the road tax is free. Its a 4 speed manual. It has factory standard electric windows and side pipes were added when it was restored - these werent an option until 1965 .... and they look great. I have added power steering which makes the car fantastic to drive – it had pretty heavy steering before this. Everything works as it should. I had a problem with the odometer which had to be replaced recently so showing very few miles on the clock. Ive only got the history since I bought the car as the restoration details were sadly lost on the trip from the US. I do however have the original Corvette Owners Guide (first edition) which is in average condition except the front cover has lost some of the print.

If you know about Corvettes you will know that this model is becoming rarer every year and thus prices are increasing so it should be a great investment.
