This rare Daimler Double-Six V12 Coupe with only 78000 miles covered in 34 years,is finished in Carriage Brown, and also has a full sent of the beautiful Kent alloy wheels and the American style original chrome internally adjustable sports door mirrors. As can be seen from the pictures, the exterior and interior are completely original with leather biscuit trim, fully functioning climate control, and the original Grundig working stereo cassette player. A stainless steel twin exhaust system has also been added.
The vehicle has been dry stored in Southern Spain for the last 12 years, and hence has avoided the cold, damp and salted roads found in a lot of other places in Europe. It is thought that less than 200 of the original total production run of 407 of these beautiful machines are still in existence today.
The vehicle has just been re-commissioned for road use again, and 12 new Bosch fuel injectors flow tested have been fitted, along with the latest Bio 100 standard fuel hose, a 100% must due to the vast amounts of Ethanol used in todays modern fuels., this can be up to 30% in some parts of Europe. Also a new fuel pump, fuel filter and ignition coil have been added.
There is much documented history included with the car, including original owners manual, British Leyland Super Cover guarantee, Service Record, Heritage Certificate, etc, etc.
The Series 2 Daimler Jaguar Coupes have been hailed by many as Sir William Lyons most beautiful design creation.
