Full race 1986 single seat Caterham Seven Long Chassis De-Dion.
The Se7en left the factory in June 1986 and has never been UK road registered (according to the DVLA) and still retains its original Caterham chassis plate.

The car has been refurbished to period specification as below :-
Engine.
Full race 1600cc Ford CVH. This engine is "in period" as fitted by Caterham to the 1986 series of 91 cars for export to Switzerland.
Produces 155 BHP at 6375 rpm on the test bench. New belts and filters fitted at this point.
The engine came from a formula 4 Van Diemen RF86 and has only done 2 hill climbs since set up.
2 x DCOE Weber 40¢s with Piper cross filters.
Full dry sump system and tank on passenger side of cockpit.
Hi-torque starter motor.
Gearbox.
Quaife 5speed straight cut gears within a Ford Type 9 case.
Brakes.
Front upgraded with Alcon calipers and vented discs.
Rear discs. No handbrake.
Suspension.
Front uprated and includes Intrax coil over shock absorbers.
Rear De-Dion.
Other equipment includes :-
Aero dynamic aids include rear under tray and extended rear wings. Easily removed as necessary.
Lifeline plumbed-in fire system.
Electronic Motec Sport dash including transducer.
Twin fuel pumps and anti cavitation tank.
Racing seat with Willans 5 point harness.
Racing dry cell battery with provision for jump start battery connection.
Roll cage with Petty strut.
Rain light.
Passenger side metal tonneau cover. (still has last scrutineers ticket from Sepang)
Wheels and tyres.
2 sets of Compomotive type minilite wheels 7"x15" with Hoosier slicks. (1 set new)
1 set of Caterham wheels with Hoosier wets.
1 set of road going 6.5" 8 Spoke Anthracite Caterham wheels with Avon R500 tyres, plus a couple of spares.
Spares included in sale are s/h CVH block, new pistons, camshaft, 6 valves, hyd. lifters, springs.
History as known.
The car has been extensively raced for many years in Asia especially in Malaysia at the Sepang circuit.
Its last known efforts were to be highly placed in both races and overall series for the 2008 Hong Kong Classic Championship as part of the Winkelmann Racing team supported from the UK by Classic World Racing. This race series was a support series to the A1GP championship.
The car appears on the Classic World Racing web site and also on YouTube whilst racing in Sepang.
It is estimated that the specification of this car would cost in excess of £35K to create.
