This Range Rover is beautifully original and is totally unmolested - she even. has the original Land Rover Radio/CD and original equipment UNUSED overmats which came with the car!
There is absolutely no corrosion on this car, (having been Waxoyl protected from new, there are no dents and no scratches. She wears the correct alloys which are original and are in mint condition, shod with a good matching set (including the spare) of the correct original equipment and almost impossible to find 205R16 Goodyear Wrangler tyres. She is a lovely old girl who has obviously been cared for regardless of cost.
Even though mechanically she was in first class condition and without fault after our 160 point check, we still performed a Major Service on her, changing all Fluids (refilling the engine with 10w40 Semi Synth), replaced all Filters (inc the Decker Panel filter), all 8 Spark Plugs, the Distributor, all Ignition Leads, the Aux Drive Belt, replaced the Radiator (and refilled the system with the correct OE Anti-Freeze), replaced the front Hub Seals, wheel Bearings, the front Driveshaft Flange gaskets and also replaced the Front Driving Lamps. Now she drives beautifully tight and everything works exactly as you would expect (or hope!).
Internally she is absolutely immaculate with no marks to the seats, door panels, dash and even the roof lining is brand new so is in perfect condition - all of the electrics work 100% correctly.
Whilst she was in excellent and totally original condition there were a couple of small areas of laquer lift which I was not 100% happy with and so we decided to go the extra mile and fully restore her paintwork.
Please do not confuse our paintwork with a £1000 respray - which always have signs of overspray, dry areas, inclusions and orange peel! We restore paintwork to as good, if not better than factory standard - look at the main gallery images to see the reflections in the bodywork and note there are no dents, no ripples or marks in the paint - its close to perfection. We achieve this finish by fully removing all external and internal door rubbers, rubbing strips, fixed windows, windscreen, door mirrors, door handles/gaskets, hinges, stays, bumpers, grills, spoiler, all doors, the top and bottom tailgates as well as the bonnet.
By fully de-assembling the car, we can paint as they did in the factory without masking trim, leaving a consistent paint finish on the whole of the car without any dry areas on the rear wheel aches, the under bonnet areas of the wings, the decker panel or around any trims, handles etc. By painting all of the doors, bonnet and tailgate off the car enables a finish to the inner areas as per the factory and because all of the rubber seals and furniture have been removed there is zero chance of any overspray, resulting in a finish which is impossible to differentiate from a factory finish (other than ours is higher quality, having less orange peel than the factory finish). We have also deleted the vinyl from and colour coded the rear 'D' post as per our signature restorations and removed the side steps and tow bar.
The Range Rover is MOT tested to March 2013 but we will supply a fresh MOT for the new owner and it has 4 months road tax (to the end of May 2012) so can be driven away (subject to your insurance cover).
Inspections are actively encouraged and viewing would be my pleasure but please only by appointment near Witney in Oxfordshire. What you are buying is a 18 year old car which is in a similar condition to a two year old car and will, if looked after only appreciate in value.
