1970 Marcos 3000GT Racecar Project

This vehicle has had one owner since 1972 and comes with v5 and technical sheets.

BODY, CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION

The body is seperated from the chassis and the chassis has been sandblasted and refurbed. Harness and roll cage mounts have been installed. Complete unit hot dipped galvanised front wishbones (new) with new superflex bushes. New steering rack with rosejointed ends. New front trunnions and wheel bearings and new anti roll bar kit fitted. Back axle is fitted with new quaiffe lsd unit and 3.55 ratio. Disc braked with wilwood calipers and handbrake mechanism (all new). Front brakes are wilwood rally design vented discs and four pot callipers (all new). New adjustable koni shocks all round with 6x14 revolution wheels.

ENGINE

Ford essex v6 built by Ric Wood. Never been run since built. Spec includes: full race heads, yella terra roller rockers, o ringed block, AES offset ground crank with special lightweight rods and hepolite +40 pistons giving approx 3340cc. All balanced and lightened with capri flywheel to take cosworth clutch, ford triple weber inlet manifold with new 42 DNF webers + linkage. Engine has new stage 4 dry sump kit and runs approx 260BHP. It is our intention to have the engine dyno run and checked prior to sale.

GEARBOX

It is a type 9, 5 speed box with quaife straight cut gears in alloy casing. Lightweight alloy bell housing to mate v6 to gear box. Gearlever is a quaife quick shift. The gearbox is new and has never been run.

This car is an assembly job with exhaust manifolds and system being the only parts required to complete. All glass is present and all interior dash and trim is complete. The wiring loom is also complete.

This is a unique oppurtunity to acquire a one owner 1970 marcos race project with all the hard work done. The car can be transported anywhere in europe at the buyers cost.
