The Cizeta-Moroder V16T is an Italian sports car, created by automotive engineer Claudio Zampolli in a joint venture with music composer Giorgio Moroder and built from 1991 to 1995. It was the only product of the Cizeta Company, developed by a group of ex-Lamborghini employees and initially announced in 1988.
The car was viewed from the beginning as an exclusive sports car, capable of topping 200 mph (320 km/h). Top speed was 328 km/h (204 mph) and just 4 seconds were required to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), while at the same time it was equipped with many luxury features.
In 1991, the list price for a Cizeta-Moroder was an estimated '600,000 or US$800,000. This price tag made it unattainable for most people who had such wealth to buy, due to being produced at the end of the speculator driven sports car price boom and the subsequent worldwide recession, just like its contemporary ultra-fast sports cars including the McLaren F1.
Although predictions for production foresaw one car per week, only eight examples were actually built from 1991 until the company's demise in 1995 making this one of the rarest of all supercars. This particular example is described as being in new condition and has never been used. Destined for the Sultan of Brunei and modified by Pininfarina with a Ferrari V12 engine fitted rather than the overly complex V16 which makes this car much more reliable and easier to service and repair. Supplied with a substantial file of invoices the car does require some finishing to the interior but with this simple work completed this car will be one of the most exclusive and ultimate supercars to have ever been produced. Offered at no reserve this could also be the supercar bargain of the century and an opportunity not to be missed!
