This British Racing Green Jaguar E-Type was sold new by Henlys of Manchester in September 1969. The E-Type spent its early life in the UK before going to Germany in 1989. On return to the UK in 1997, the car was sold for almost £15,000 and had a further £15,000 spent between 1997 and 2001. Substantial work included an engine rebuild, full re-spray, full exhaust system, lightened flywheel, manual gearbox conversion and much more. A full comprehensive spreadsheet of all the work is with the history file. MOT certificates go back to 1997 showing the car has covered almost 20,000 miles in the last 13 years. We have known HUM 206G since 2001 and have sold the car to several returning customers and friends. The E-Type has given previous owners a great deal of delight and really is a fabulous driver. The last time we sold the car was in 2006 and the car was purchased on impulse and driven immediately to South Wales without any preparation required. The car performed faultlessly and has always been a driver's car. The original tan leather upholstery has a lovely patina and paintwork is of a very good standard. Chrome work is bright and whilst the chrome wires are very presentable, they are not like new. This is a really usable E-Type with the benefit of a full webasto sunroof. HUM 206G presents remarkably well with a good, straight body, smart original interior and importantly, a superb engine that gives an all round superb driving experience. |
