Independent front suspension was by wishbone and coil springs, with a leaf-sprung live rear axle. This, combined with superior Dunlop all-round disc brakes, and a choice of 2.4, 3.4 and 3.8-litre 6-cylinder XK engines, provided the discerning string-back gloved driver with one of the finest forms of fast and luxurious sports saloons of the sixties.
