The car has been in our family since March 1972 and has been garaged since then. We have a copy of the original registration document showing first registration on 31st March 1969 and one previous owner. She is in excellent original condition, having covered a genuine 54,944 miles from new. We have MOTs from the first MOT on March 18th 1976 to date. Her current MOT runs until 20th March 2010, and has covered only 11 miles since her last MOT. We will sell the car with a new MOT. Four new wings were fitted several years ago and some work was carried out on the sills, but the rest of the body and paintwork remains original. The interior has only had new carpets due to wear over the sills. The seats were covered by “seat covers“, and now that they have been removed show the seats in as new condition. The door cards and the rest of the interior are in excellent original condition. A new clutch was fitted a few years ago and has covered less than 5,000 miles. The engine is unmodified and original. She is still on the original electronics and positive earth. The only modification from original is a telescopic boot stay (which could be removed). She is a well loved car that has been meticulously maintained by a knowledgeable enthusiast. Sadly for sale due to bereavement. |

An Austin sourced 0.8L engine was now used and an estate, 'traveller', variant was added to the range, as were commercial van an pick-up variants. The Series 2 traveller was the first Morris Minor to feature the distinctive wooded trim toward the rear of the car.
