Likely to be occupying at the very least a place in the first couple of rows of the ultimate Supercar grid is the Pagani Zonda, a one owner since new in 2004 example of which with a mere 9800 kilometres of exercise under wheel comes to market in Switzerland with Geneva-based top car dealers Caragati Automobiles.

Greetings Enthusiasts PAGANI ZONDA OR XJ220 JAG. FIAT 509 S MONZA, ASTON DB 2/4 AND LAGONDA 3.0 DHC. HEALEY 3000 2-SEATER, SUNBEAM ALPINE S2, 911SC. 124 SPIDER, VICTOR ESTATE OR 2CV. PANTERA WITH TOUR DE FRANCE PROVENANCE. ALL CAN BE FOUND RIGHT HERE ON CCFS

Among the latest collector vehicles to join the website's stock list are a very 1920s Fiat 509 S Monza Special. And a DB2/4 MkI 2+2 Coupe for which offers are sought, a Lagonda 3-Litre DB Drophead and a rare in 2-seater form Austin-Healey 3000 BN7, all from the 1950s.

1960s options include a two owner Sunbeam Alpine S2 and an early chrome-bumpered 124 Spider. A competition De Tomaso Pantera with period race provenance and a Vauxhall Victor Estate from the 1970s could not be more contrasting.

The 1980s are represented this week by a 911SC and an extensively rebuilt 2CV 6 Special, and the 1990s by a 13,000 miles from new XJ220. And although only four years old, a Pagani Zonda has already become highly collectible. Click-on and enjoy.

And for the very latest intelligence from the auctions, my weekly commentary on which classics are fetching how much and, more importantly, why follows the week’s selections at the end of the newsletter.

Work at ClassicCarsForSale.co.uk! Win FREE tickets to the Classic Motor Show, NEC Birmingham November 13, 14 and 15th November.

We have 6 pairs of tickets to give away for the Classic Motor Show www.necclassicmotorshow.com. To win them we need your help.

There's no getting away from it, criminal fraudsters and scammers are one of societies (and definitely our) worst enemy. We spend hours trying to filter them out of our listings so our visitors are as protected as we can make it for them. But that does not stop some scammers getting through and wasting your time.

At www.ClassicCarsForSale.co.uk we have been racking our brains to try to think of a system that would reduce the number of scammers still further. One brainwave we have had is to have a private life membership scheme costing £5. Hopefully this charge would be enough to put scammers off together with the fact that we would have registered the user and their credit/debit card. This would also mean that we could give people access to update and change their own adverts, which many of you have asked for. Our only concern would be that the registration and £5 charge would put private sellers off advertising with us! What do you think?

To win a pair of ticket to the Classic Motor Show we are asking for your feedback on what you think of this idea and/or send us your own idea to deal with the scourge of the scammer. Send you comments to scammerfeedback@classiccarsforsale.co.uk by November 7th please! We will give away the tickets to the six people who in our opinion give the best responses.

To find out more about the show visit their website www.necclassicmotorshow.com.

Latest auction results and detailed comments MARKET COMMENTARY FROM resident analyst Richard Hudson-Evans

CLK GTR MERC MAKES £616,000 AND £550,000 PAID FOR DB2 TEAM CAR IN BATTERSEA PARK. LOTUS CORTINA Mk1 SELLS FOR £36,850 AT SANDOWN WHERE GRANADA FETCHES £9460. RM DROP FERRARI SALE AND GO TO MONACO IN 2010

Richard Hudson-Evans A 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster was RM's top seller at Battersea Park last Wednesday, costing a new owner £616,000 with premium and a 2005 CLK CTR Fixed Head Coupe sold for £522,500. The 1950 Aston Martin DB2 Team Car 'VMF 64' made £550,000, a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS with Carrozeria Sport coachwork sold immediately afterwards for £522,500 and a 1914 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Boat-Tail Skiff achieved a premium-inclusive £473,000 under the hammer.
By far the most remarkable valuation in the Batteresea Experience venue, however, was the £297,000 paid for an incredibly long and seriously scruffy 1969 Merc 600 for restoration. The Pullman Landaulet, which had been bodily abused and was wisely being auctioned without reserve, had been expected to fetch £40,000-60,000 on a good day. For vendor and auctioneers, this was a very good day indeed!

Some truly remarkable prices were paid for British Fords the day before during the latest Barons sale at Sandown Park where a genuine and road going 1965 Lotus Cortina Mk1 with no competition provenance, which had been ten years in down to last nut and bolt restoration, made a way over top estimate £36,850 with premium. A 35,153 miles from new in 1977 and apparently still original, though clearly much cherished Granada Ghia Mk1 with 3-Litre V6 under bonnet also performed strongly last Tuesday, attracting a double reserve £9460. Whilst a close to top estimate £15,950 was forthcoming for an ex-Californian, though UK refurbished 1968 Ford Mustang convertible.
The £38,500 achieved by a 1971 Jaguar E Type Series 3 V12 Roadster with auto-shift, admittedly in receipt of an XK Engineering restoration completed I 1991 since when it had reportedly only done 12,800 miles, was another noteworthy result. The catalogue cover featured 1954 MG TF, restored in the 1990s, found a just over forecast £15,125 here and a very late Series 2, and therefore still with split-screen Morris Minor Convertible with thought to be genuine 34,184 total mileage since new in 1956 raised £9460, virtually the top estimate.
By contrast, an ex-Peter de Savory 1990 Aston Martin Virage Coupe, albeit with matt bonnet paint, was landed for £9900. Inexpensive, surely, for a 5-speed manual transmission model which normally command a premium over those with auto-shift. For the record, exactly the same money would have bought you an 11,800 miles since TR Enterprises restoration 1974 Triumph TR6. Barons next sale at the Surrey racecourse, their final fixture of the 2009 auction season, is set for Tuesday 8 December with pre-sale viewing of the entries available 3-7pm Monday 7.

RM used the occasion of their major London sale at Battersea in the week to announce that they will be taking their rostrum to Monaco in 2010 during the 7th Grand Prix Historique de Monaco weekend with a sale scheduled for Saturday 1 May at the Grimaldi Forum.
This means that there are now likely to be three collector vehicle auctions in the Principality at this time with Bonhams returning to their regular Rainier Car Collection venue at Fontvielle and Coys occupying the Circus facility by the Heliport. It will be just like the old days, in fact, when at the height of the previous boom, there were also three major auction houses catering for movers and shakers in town for the F1 event the following weekend - Christie's, Sotheby's and Brooks, which took over Bonhams but retained the 1793 name.
There will be no RM sale at Ferrari in 2010, however, although it is hoped that a return to the factory's Fiorano Test Track facility for a Ferrari-themed auction may be possible on a bi-annual basis, perhaps in 2011, possibly in alternating with their new fixture at Monaco in the 'quiet' years when there is no Historic racing.
