1965 Aston Martin DB5. Ex Donovan & Robert Plant For Sale £POA
Offered by Nicholas Mee, he says this is not just another DB5 but a wonderful example of an original and concourse standard car, with a diverse and interesting ownership history. Owned in the 1960s by popular singer and folk hero Donovan and thereafter by rock legend Robert Plant, lead singer with Led Zeppelin. Acquired in the late 1980s from Plant, the car was restored to concourse standard and maintained by Aston Martin agents Chapman Spooner. Since restoration the car has seen very little use, mainly to attend national and club concourse events. Freshly serviced and Motd, this car is of the highest quality and is one of the best we have ever stocked. Finished in period Dubonnet Rosso with correct period Tan hides.

Offered privately, the owner says this vehicle had an M.O.T certificate and was taxed for road use up to June 2007. It qualifies for free tax and is cheap to insure. The Model Y was first manufactured in Dagenham between the world wars and indeed into the 1950s. It was succeeded by the Popular and then Anglia and is becoming increasingly difficult to find an example suitable for renovation to concourse condition. Considering its age, this vehicle is in excellent condition. Please bear in mind that this is an historic car and is 70 years old. It therefore has a small amount of cosmetic rust. He also says : I have owned the vehicle for the last 9 years. Four speed, this vehicle is very easy to work on and repair. A fantastic buy for an historic vehicle enthusiast.

Offered for auction by Worldwide Auctions, Texas, tomorrow, they state this unique car featured in the Movie "The Mayor of Hell". One of only four V-12 Salon Cabriolets produced. This fabulous car can easily be seen being driven by James Cagney in the 1933 film, "The Mayor of Hell." In fact, the car is featured in so many lengthy clips, it appears to be one of the stars. Because factory records relating to customer delivery of all 12-cylinder Auburns were all destroyed many years ago, it is not clear whether Warner Bros. Studios purchased this car directly from Auburn or if Mr. Cagney loaned it out for the filming, which is quite plausible as this practice was very common in the day. Only 310 miles since restoration - timeless elegance! Few enthusiasts have had the opportunity to see this important motorcar in person. That will change with this offering, and one extremely fortunate individual will have the wherewithal to see it in their own collection.

Offered privately, the owner states with 23,974 miles and MOT test to June 2009, Tax November 2009. First owner from March 1978 to February 1987. The second owner, also of Camberley owned the car from 15/02/87 until the car passed to his son. I think the last time the car would have been on the road was early 1993 as that's the last tax disc still in the tax disc holder. Change of ownership to the son was on 01/08/98. I met the son who had never driven the car, it was just kept in the garage and only sold when the house was put on the market.

One previous brave owner having found the chassis, rebuilt this original Blower by spending some nine years sourcing all her original parts and building here as a full Birkin Team rep VDP. This Bentley has passed all inspections and not only has its original chassis, but engine, front axle and steering box, and an original Blower unit. (No 121). Complete with D type gearbox and big back axle as fitted to Blowers and an overdrive for high speed cruising. She is in concourse condition and less than 3000 miles since rebuild. Complete with FIA and FIVA papers so shes ready to show, race or rally. Faultless performance with loads of grunt.
