Some History of the Aston Martin V8
Built from then until 1986, these cars were generally referred to as 'Oscar India' cars, standing for 'October Introduction'. The most obvious differences were a re-styled bonnet and a swept up tail, while inside the cabin there was a re-designed dashboard and centre console, and the headlining became leather rather than cloth. There were other improvements, most notably to the air conditioning and shock absorber settings. From June 1980, a heavily revised version of the 5.3-litre V8 was fitted to production cars, featuring numerous modifications aimed at reducing emissions without compromising performance.
