The most obvious differences were a re-styled bonnet and a swept up tail, while inside the cabin there was a re-designed dashboard and centre console, and the headlining became leather rather than cloth. There were other improvements, most notably to the air conditioning and shock absorber settings. From June 1980, a heavily revised version of the 5.3-litre V8 was fitted to production cars, featuring numerous modifications aimed at reducing emissions without compromising performance. .
